The Canadian rock band APRIL WINE will perform live at Kelowna Community Theatre May 11.

The  Canadian rock band April Wine will perform live at Kelowna Community Theatre this spring.

The May 11 show will highlight work released on 20-plus albums that have spanned over 40 years.

Many of their records have achieved Gold and Platinum status in Canada, and in 2010 they were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held during the Juno Awards in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador. Prior to that they received the CMW Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009, and the year before in 2008, were inducted into the east Coast Music Hall of Fame.

April Wine still consists of two of the original members, Brian Greenway on guitar and vocals and Myles Goodwin, Lead vocals. Goodwin’s unique but classic rock voice has always given April Wine that distinct and immediately recognizable sound. Ranging from hard rock classics to soulful ballads his vocal range and style has truly made him one of the all time greats in the annals of Canadian rock history. His songwriting skills are prolific, and he has penned nearly every April Wine song.

The band boasts songs that have become mainstays in the world of rock and classic rock radio. Songs such as “You Could have Been a Lady”, “Tonite is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love, “Like a Lover Like a Song”, ‘I wouldn’t Want to Lose Your Love”, “You won’t Dance With Me”, “Bad Side of the Moon”, ‘Roller”, ‘Oowatanite”, and many more.
