Canada’s 150th birthday is just around the corner and in Armstrong, Tapestry Women’s Choir and Fireflies Children’s Choir can’t wait to get the party started.
On Saturday, Dec. 10 at 1:30 and 4 p.m., both choirs will take the stage at the Armstrong Bible Chapel to perform A Canadian Christmas.
“Some of the music was written or arranged by a Canadian, some selections are synonymous with famous Canadian performers and some of the songs celebrate holiday events that are typically Canadian,” said choir director Deborah Mehes. “It will be a concert with something for everyone, with a wide range of music, both traditional and modern.”
As their audiences have come to expect, choir members will also host a complimentary intermission reception with hot drinks and delicious homemade treats.
In the spirit of the season, food items or cash donations are also being collected for the Armstrong Food Bank.
Tickets are $12 and available in Armstrong at The Brown Derby restaurant, at Your Dollar Store With More, by calling 250-546-8308 or at the door.
