It will be a Candlelight Christmas when Tapestry Women’s Choir and Fireflies Children’s Choir perform two concerts on Saturday, Dec. 12 in Armstrong.

The choirs will include traditional and modern carols, all reflecting the theme of light in the darkness and warmth in the cold.

“It wouldn’t be a Tapestry Christmas without our intermission reception with hot beverages and home-baked treats, always delicious,” said choir leader Deborah Mehes.

This year, the choir is also sponsoring a raffle to benefit the  Armstrong Spallumcheen Refugee Project (ASREP), which  is hoping to bring a Syrian family of six to the community.

“The raffle will feature unique, hand crafted items, many made by Tapestry members,” said Mehes.

There will be two shows, Dec. 12 at 1 and  4 p.m. at the  Armstrong Bible Chapel, 2145 Rosedale Ave.

All tickets are $12 and are available from choir members, at the Brown Derby Cafe and Your Dollar Store With More in Armstrong, at Hungry Jack’s Café in Enderby, or by calling  250-546-8308.

“If space allows, there may also be tickets available at the door,” said Mehes, adding, “Mark your calendars and come celebrate the magic and mystery of a Candlelight Christmas with us in Armstrong.”
