The Armstrong-Spallumcheen Museum and Art Gallery kicks off a new season with a show and sale Thursday.
The annual School Crossing Show, with art from local schools, will be in the Freeze Gallery and there will be a silent auction to raise money for the gallery.
Most of the paintings for auction have been donated from the estate of Rusty Freeze, a well known artist. During his life he was an enthusiastic supporter of the establishment of the art gallery and the smaller section of the gallery has been named in his honour.
The show and auction will run from Thursday to May 26. A reception honouring Freeze will be held on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the gallery.
