Nanaimo’s Deborah Zorkin is stepping into a leadership role at the Nanaimo Art Gallery.
Zorkin was elected as president of the gallery’s board of directors in late July. She’s taking over from Ian Niamath, who has been involved with the gallery since the mid-’80s.
“Participation by the community is key to the gallery’s success,” said Zorkin in a press release. “I invite everyone in Nanaimo … to pay us a visit, find out what we do, become a member and volunteer to assist with one of our many upcoming efforts.”
