Art Rave’s on the move

Alberni Art Rave is making some changes.

With a new board of directors and a new monthly meeting place, Alberni Art Rave is looking to make the 2015 event better than ever.Their new board of directors includes Colleen Clancy as executive chair, Terry Deakin as vice chair, C. Robert Gunn as treasurer, Lily Diotte as secretary and Barry Brueyere, Yolande Fournier and Jillian Mayne as members-at-large.

The new board is in discussions with businesses and organizations on Argyle Street and at Harbour Quay for a location for the 2015 event.

Along with a new board, Art Rave will be hosting monthly socials at Char’s Landing, in the heart of Port Alberni’s Rotary Arts District.

Featuring live music, lively discussion, collaborative art making, special events and more, the socials will take place the last Wednesday of every month starting on Nov. 26.

In addition to the usual festivities, the inaugural Nov. 26 event will have a silent auction with proceeds going to Art Rave.
