LAST WEEK FOR ART EXHIBIT
This is the last week to visit the current art exhibit at the Rollin Art Centre with Rob Liboiron, an artist who dabbles in many mediums, such as soapstone, wood, along with some pen, ink and oil paintings and Klaus Joehle, a mosaic artist. This exhibit runs until April 28.
BOOKS NEEDED
Only a few weeks left to donate for this year’s annual book sale. Donations are low, but there is still time to clean out all your book shelves and share your love of books with someone else. Please drop off all your gently used books for our annual giant book sale (newer books only) at the Rollin Art Centre. Thank you for your continued support. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
GIANT BOOK SALE
The Community Art Council presents their annual book sale on Friday, May 12 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, May 13 from 9-3 p.m. at Echo Community Centre. Thousands of books, jigsaw puzzles and videos. Pay by cash, debit, Visa and MasterCard.
2018 EXHIBIT APPLICATIONS
It is the last week to submit your applications to have your very own art exhibit at the Rollin Art Centre in 2018. We are looking for new and exciting artists to exhibit in the gallery while helping to bring more awareness of local art to the Valley. If you are interested in showcasing your artwork in 2018, stop by the gallery for your application today. Applications are open to all visual artists or artist groups. SOLSTICE FESTIVAL
Days with the arts takes place June 16 and 17 and we still have space/tables available if you are an artist who would like to display and sell your artwork on the grounds at the Rollin Art Centre. Table rentals are $60 for this free two-day arts festival.
SUMMER Kid’s programs
The Rollin Art Centre invites children aged seven-12 to participate in our summer art programs; camps run every Tuesday Wednesday and Friday beginning at 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (for ages 7-9) and 1- 3:30 p.m. (ages 10-12), and features a new theme each week.
At each camp the children will fabricate stimulating artwork and foster friendships with peers. Our first camp begins July 4 and is titled “Super Hero’s Unite.” Call today for more info.Weekly camps $50.
