NEXT ROLLIN ART EXHIBIT
The Rollin Art Centre is pleased to announce our next Art exhibit, which commences Feb. 10 and runs until March 7. This exhibit is a showcase of local artists, Miroslava Gojdova, and her collection of drawings, paintings and photographs. Stop by the gallery, Sat. Feb. 14th from 1-3 p.m. for Miroslava’s arts reception, and join us for refreshments.
BOOK DONATIONS NOW ON AT ROLLIN ART CENTRE
The Rollin Art Centre is now accepting all your “LIKE NEW” books, DVD’s, CD’s, and puzzles for their annual book sale, which takes place on May 8th & 9th, 2015 **Please no Magazines, National Geographic, Encyclopedia’s, Reader’s Digest and textbooks. The Community Arts Council prides themselves on selling books that are in pristine condition. PLEASE, do not drop off books that are very used, we cannot re-sell them. Our donation box is located at the Rollin Art Centre, inside, under the staircase in the wooden box. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

STILL ROOM: ADULT DRAWING CLASS
Local artist Cynthia Bonesky is back and we still have a few spaces left! This class promises to teach the basics of learning how to draw using various techniques such as contour drawing, shading, and negative drawing and much more. These classes will run every Tues. evening, starting Feb.3rd – March 24th, from 7 – 9 p.m. The cost is only $145 for 8 classes, supply list available when you sign up. COMMUNITY ARTS COUNCIL MEMBERSHIPS
This is a reminder to all current Community Arts Council members, and everyone else who would like to help support the Community Arts Council, that all memberships will now be renewed in Jan. 2015. This annual membership date will be for everyone. If you have not yet renewed your membership for the 2015, pop by the Rollin Art Centre today. The cost is only $17 for adults, $12 for seniors and $22 for a family. As we are a non-profit organization we rely on the generous support of art patrons like you. So please, help support the Community Arts Council today so we can help support local artists tomorrow. The gallery is open Tues. to Sat., 11 a.m. ~ 4 p.m.
MARITIME HERITAGE EVENING
The Port Alberni Maritime Heritage Society is a holding a Maritime Heritage Evening, its first event of the winter season, on Jan. 22nd, at 7 .pm. in Trinity Church Hall, 4766 Angus St at 5th Ave.
Two NFB documentaries on fishing, “The Silver Horde”, will be hosted by Cecil Ashton. Local artist Doug Harrison will share his west coast paintings and stories. Audience participation is encouraged; refreshments will be served, everyone welcome. Admission is by donation, which can be applied to membership in PAMHS.
