Arts Around: Rollin Art Centre looking for book donations

The Rollin Art Centre is currently accepting any gently used books for their annual book sale in May.

Something fishy is at the Rollin Art Centre! Our current art exhibit is titled, “Sockeye King”, featuring artist Doug Blackwell.

Doug’s art exhibit is all about salmon. As a commercial fisherman, Doug showcases his love of fish, namely salmon. Check out this very unique exhibit, featuring actual tracings of salmon, silkscreened onto canvas. This exhibit is currently running until Feb. 3.

Bring us your books

It’s that time of year again and the Rollin Art Centre is currently accepting any gently used books, DVDs, CDs or puzzles for their annual book sale in May.

Unfortunately we cannot accept any magazines, National Geographic, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest books or textbooks.

Please drop off donations at the Rollin Art Centre, inside the main door just under the staircase in the large wooden box. As this is one of the Community Arts Council’s biggest fundraisers, we appreciate all your donations. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located at 3061 Eighth Ave. or call 250-724-3412 for more info.
