The Art Blast Gala, a collaboration with West Coast Music Award nominees the Oot n’ Oots, and renowned circus flow arts performers Kinshira, Rotary Centre for the Arts will launch March 30.
It will be an exhilarating extravaganza and fundraising auction to raise funds to ensure that under privileged children have sustainable access to RCA arts education programs.
“It is vital that young people grow up knowing they are co-creators of the cultures they inhabit, that their unique creativity, intellect, love, ethics and other capacities contribute to the creation of our shared world. Making sure kids have a chance to deeply know this is the goal of our arts education programs. It is vital that all kids have equitable access to such programs. The RCA has never had a sustainable mechanism by which we ensure that under privileged kids can access our programs, and we thought it was high time we created one. So we are reaching out to the community to invite them to help us in achieving this goal,” said RCA executive director Tyler Russell.

The Arts Blast camps foster creativity and allow children to explore and expand their imagination while raising self-esteem and confidence. With classes in art, music, drama and dance that are guided by talented and inspiring top flight instructors. Arts Blast gives children the opportunity to develop a sense of innovation that will be important in their adult lives. The RCA’s mission is to celebrate, nurture and promote the arts through diversity, entertainment, and education. In 2019 their goal is to raise an endowment of $100,000 to establish a sustainable means of providing equitable access to our children’s arts education programs.
