Kaleidoscope contest
Make your voice heard through the Kaleidoscope Real World Video Challenge. Kaleidoscope is an online video contest for youth aged 18 and under. To enter, submit a short video showing how you are making a positive change in this world.
It could be about a global issue, or something in your own community.
Topics can include human rights, gender equality and environment, to name a few.
Upload your video and you’ll have the chance to win a video camera and a trip to Ottawa. The deadline for the contest is March 31. For details, check out www.videochallenge.ca.
Whiskey Jane

A quilt of many crafts
The 19th annual Sewing and Crafts Show is returning to Abbotsford’s Tradex, 1190 Cornell Street, on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2.
There will be more than 70 seminars and workshops each day, discussing creative design, pattern making, sewing, quilting, scrap booking, home decor and staging.

40 years on skates
The Abbotsford Skating Club is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a special performance: Skating Four Decades – Tracing our Stories.
It takes place on Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. at MSA arena, 2323 Emerson St.
Tickets are available by contacting iceshowtickets@shaw.ca, at the MSA box office from March 28 to April 1 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and at the door.
Children three and under are free, youth from ages four to 17 and seniors are $7, and adults are $10.
Barbershop harmony
The best of acapella music will be featured in one performance called Barbershop Harmony at the Abbotsford Arts Centre, 2329 Crescent Way, on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2.
The event has been held in Abbotsford for the past 10 years and will showcase choruses and quartets from around B.C. and Washington State.
