Arts school presents Annie Jr. at the Clarke

The Creative Edge School of Arts is holding its second annual public performance event on May 28.

Annie Jr. is coming to Mission’s Clarke Theatre.

The Creative Edge School of Arts, based in Abbotsford, is holding its second annual public performance event, for all ages.

Annie Jr. is based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning best musical, featuring everyone’s favorite little redhead in her very first adventure.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City.

Annie is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan.

The show features 16 students aged eight to 15. There will be one show only, on Saturday, May 28 at 7 p.m. in the Clarke Theatre.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Group tickets of 10 or more receive half-price admission. Call 604-855-3343 for tickets or info.

A portion of the proceeds go to Breakfast for Learning, which funds breakfast programs in local schools.
