Attendance is up and Airshow fans and organizers alike are smiling from ear to ear. With perfect weather, the Abbotsford International Airshow continues to impress spectators with its 52ndannual production.
“There have been great reactions to the changes that we made to the event this year. We’ve had nothing but great reviews about the newly added Twilight Show, and of course – there has been nothing but positive buzz about the rare de Havilland Mosquito flying and on display,” says Airshow President, Jim Reith. “It has been very rewarding to see the emotional reactions to the aircraft, especially those of Veterans who worked with the Mosquito in the Second World War.”
The Airshow is particularly honoured to host a number of Veterans at Sunday’s Airshow. Many will be interested in seeing the Mosquito up close. In addition to the aircraft display, Sunday’s show includes thrilling demonstrations by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, CF-18 Hornet Demonstration, The Indy Boys Jet School Bus and many others. The family-friendly fun also includes aircraft displays, autographs, shopping, concessions and the McDonalds Kids Zone. Gates open at 9:00 am on Sunday. Tickets are still available at www.abbotsfordairshow.com or at the gate.
