Semiahmoo Arts invites Peninsula residents to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a reading by another distinguished Patrick – best selling author Patrick Taylor (the Irish Country Doctor series of novels).
Taylor will read from his latest works Monday (March 17) 7-9 p.m. at the Semiahmoo Arts Gallery in Centennial Park, 14600 North Bluff Rd., White Rock.
Born in Bangor, Northern Ireland, Taylor is also noted as a distinguished medical research worker, off-shore sailor, model boat-builder and seannachie (Celtic bard).
In the 1990s he has become known for his fiction, all of it set in Northern Ireland.
A short story collection, Only Wounded: Ulster Stories was succeeded by novels including The Apprencticeship of Doctor Laverty – which began The Irish Country Doctor series.
