The Boundary is fortunate to host author Lily Iona MacKenzie, whose debut novel Fling! has just hit bookshelves this month.
Billed as a “wildly comic romp on mothers, daughters, art and travel,” Fling! should appeal to a broad range of readers.
“While the main characters are middle-aged and older, their zest for life would draw readers of all ages, male or female, attracting the youthful adventurer in most people,” the author stated in a press release. ”The heart of the book is how they approach their aging selves and are open to new experiences.”
MacKenzie, born and raised in Alberta and now living in the San Francisco Bay area of California, will be signing books at Pharmasave on Friday, Aug. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
She will also appear at the Grand Forks and District Public Library on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 3 p.m., and later that day at the Christina Living Arts Centre at 7 p.m.
