What do Beethoven and The Beatles have in common?
Find out when violinist Mark Ferris (Vancouver Opera Orchestra concert master and member of the Yaletown String Quartet) joins the Bergmann Piano Duo to perform music by Beethoven and songs by the world’s most famous pop group.
The concert, which takes place on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at the Surrey Arts Centre (13750 88 Ave.), is part of the Classical Coffee Concert Series, presented by Surrey Civic Theatres.
Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann – known as the Bergmann Piano Duo – are famous for their razzle-dazzle playing and their uniquely eclectic programs.
Extraordinary performers, welcoming hosts and entertaining storytellers, this husband-and-wife team bring their magical touch to this intimate and casual concert series.
The concerts are presented in the Studio Theatre after a social hour that begins at 10 a.m. in the lobby – with coffee, tea and goodies.
The musicians are usually available for a chat after the performance.
The running time for the concert is approximately 70 minutes, no intermission.
