Campbell River’s favourite rockers Ten Times Bigger (TTB) are back with another $10 community dance at the Campbell River Legion Hall on Saturday, Nov. 21.
“We really want to give people a safe, fun option for going out for a night of dancing and partying,” says TTP drummer Ringer. “We’re hoping to do something like this on a regular basis and the band decided that the Legion was the perfect place to host these friendly and affordable events.”
Like many of the province’s Legions, Campbell River’s Branch #137 is far past its hay day and could use all the support it can get, Ringer says.
“We all feel strongly about helping the Legion. It’s an important link to a very critical part of our history and it’s getting more and more important to preserve the memory of the men and women that all Legions represent.”
The Legion also puts a lot of money back into the community by supporting the likes of the Food Bank, Knights of Columbus, Campbell River’s cadets as well as a host of other local causes. With Remembrance Day fresh in our minds, come on out and support the organization that supports our veterans.
For those not familiar with Ten Times Bigger, they are a local cover band the for 10 years now have been entertaining Vancouver Island with an unmatched variety of music from the last six decades. They are considered one of the best three-piece cover bands out there right now.
Tickets for the dance are $10 and are available at the Legion, the Music Plant, and Balloons and More Party Shop in Willow Point. Doors open at 8 p.m., show starts at 9 p.m. and you must be 19 to attend.
