Bizarre Review: Aquaman

How did I wait so long to see Aquaman?

How did I wait so long to see Aquaman?

I knew this was a movie I wanted to see, but I didn’t realize it would be so worth it. I had heard all of the ladies gushing about how good looking Jason Momoa is, and I knew too, but I didn’t expect the movie to be so amazing all around.

I remember Aquaman as a kid. It was a dorky cartoon. It was entertaining. I never thought it could be so cool.

We were introduced to Aquaman in the Justice League, ad he was impressive then. His cold demeanor made him mysterious and somehow more attractive.

In the Aquaman movie, Arthur Curry (AKA Aquaman) is a little more standoffish, but eventually more forthcoming with working with other people.

The twist in the character’s attitude definitely made him more likable.

The 2018 film is packed with more than two hours of action. It gives a little more back story into the life of Curry growing up. What happened to his mother, how he became the destined king of Atlantis, and his struggle to save humankind.

The entire movie is visually appealing, with great fight scenes. It is 100 per cent worth the rental if you haven’t already seen it, and it is the perfect movie to watch again and again with family and friends.

Some reviews have said the movie was terrible, but I don’t see anything wrong with it. You might want to dim the lights a little, because you won’t want any reflections on your TV. The movie has a dark setting, and you might miss some fine details.

Under the sea, things are glowing and whizzing by, and is really visually stimulating.

The story reveals all that is Arthur Curry’s life and his destiny to become the king of Atlantis. He has to fight tooth and nail to save the human race, and denies his claims to the throne. You will have to watch the movie to take it all in.

So get the popcorn ready and get comfortable, because you won’t want to miss a single scene in this movie.

I give Aquaman nine out of 10 popcorns.
