Award-nominated blues musician Mark Crissinger will give a free concert Wednesday (Aug. 2) in the Old City Quarter.
The guitarist and songwriter will play transitional blues and roots-rock music during a noon concert at Lobelia’s Lair as part of the Old City Quarter Lunchtime Summer Music Series.
Crissinger is a 2017 Maple Blues Award nominee and gained international airplay after his 2015 album, Blues Expression, according to an event press release.
“Mark is sure to impress with his toe-tappin’ tunes and bluesy roots; you may find yourself dancin’ in your seat,” the press release notes.
The Old City Quarter lunch concert series rotates through four different venues between June and August. Following this week’s Crissinger concert, the next event is Aug. 9 when Sydney Needham and Marty Steele will play at noon, also at Lobelia’s Lair.
The series then moves over to Wesley Square, where Hope King will perform Aug. 16 and then David James will perform Johnny Cash music during a Tribute to the Man in Black show on Aug. 23.
All Old City Quarter lunchtime concert series events are free and run from noon-1 p.m.
