Book has quirky view of dog life

Editorial cartoonist Adrian Raeside has turned his eye on man's best friend.

The inner life of dogs, and even sometimes squirrels, is shown in Tails Don’t Lie 2, a new book of cartoons by Adrian Raeside.

Raeside’s best known for his editorial cartoons, (published for several years in the Langley Advance).

But he’s also known as an avowed animal lover. His first book of dog cartoons was published in 2013.

In Tails Don’t Lie 2, he continues chronicling the daily life of his best pals, Koko and Sakura, as well as working dogs, service dogs, rescue dogs, shelter animals, the occasional squirrel and the odd cat.

The book covers important questions such as why dogs covet the driver’s seat, squirrel chasing, and even animal welfare, using humour to drive home his disdain for people who mistreat animals.

A Langley Advance reader will win a copy of Adrian Raeside’s new book Tails Don’t Lie 2.
