The “King of Canadian Comedy”, Mike MacDonald, and comedian Matt Billon are stopping in Creston on March 11 at the Snoring Sasquatch on their Black Jack Comedy Tour, in which they perform 21 shows in 21 nights in 21 towns.
MacDonald has had many successful and well received live performances all over North America. In addition, he has appeared on numerous TV shows, including Late Night with David Letterman, The Arsenio Hall Show, Just For Laughs, Showtime’s Comedy Club All-Star Show, A&E’s An Evening at the Improv and Comedy Central’s The A List. His popularity continues to soar in both the U.S. and Canada. He has hosted both the Gemini Awards and the Just For Laughs 10th anniversary special for CBC. MacDonald also holds the distinction of being the only comedian to perform at each and every Just For Laughs gala show.
Supporting MacDonald on the tour is Billon, whose solid reputation for his witty, creative and unassumingly clever material has landed him feature appearances and specials on CBC’s Madly Off in all Directions and The Debaters, Much Music’s Video on Trial, Sirius/XM Satellite Radio’s Laugh Attack and his own one-hour, jam-packed special on the Comedy Network. Billon has been a finalist/winner in The Great Canadian Laugh Off, Stand Up & Bite Me and the Seattle International Comedy Competition.
Advance tickets are $10 at Kingfisher Used Books and Black Bear Books, and $12 at the door, which opens a 7 p.m.; the show begins at 8.
