The Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in Merritt is producing a Hall of Fame concert series and the inaugural show is set to take place in Mission.
The CCMA Hall of Fame “Then and Now Concert Series” begins on Oct. 1 at the Clarke Theatre in Mission and features award-winning (and local) artists Aaron Pritchett, The Washboard Union (recent CCMA winners of Roots Group of the Year’), Jackson Hollow, Kenny Hess, Becca Hess and One More Girl.
The show will be hosted by CCMA Hall-of-Famer Wendell Ferguson.
“I’m really looking forward to it, it’s a really cool thing,” said Kenny Hess.
Hess said the idea of the concert is to promote the many famous performers who are in the hall of fame, including Hank Snow Gordon Lightfoot,Anne Murray and more.
“We’ve put a great little show together and we are going to be taking it across the country.”
It was Hess who convinced organizers to start the show in Mission.
“I’m really excited to have it in my hometown,” said Hess.
Tickets for the show are available online at khpproductions.com or at the Clarke Theatre box office and at the door.
The show is a fundraising event and includes a silent auction. Monies raised goes to the preservation of the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.
