Carl Erickson is returning to the stage at the Sasquatch, accompanied by the Home Town Heroes on June 4.
Erickson will play the tenor saxophone and guitar, and sing. The Home Town Heroes are Donnie Clark on trumpet, Jason Deatherage on drums, and Micah Snow and Nelson’s James Jost on guitar and bass.
Erickson has been performing for about 50 years, and played in the Nocturnals in the 1960s with his close friend, Ron Henschel.
“We had suits, trucks and gear all over the place and did dance steps as we played and sweated,” said Erickson. “I spent years in recording studios scratching out a sort of existence. I was fortunate enough to play with all kinds of folks along the way, like Glen Campbell, and Ike and Tina Turner.”
Tickets are $15 in advance, available at Buffalo Trails Coffee House, Black Bear Books and Kingfisher Used Books, and $18 at the door (with a teen rate of $8 at the door). The doors open at 7 p.m.; the show starts at 8.
