Artist’s Bio and Statement:
For me, creating a work of art begins with a connection to the subject, a strong feeling that persists throughout the process. While composing a piece can be a challenge, it’s the desire to express that connection that keeps me engaged from the start. Ideas for my paintings come, not only from nature, but also from people in the community and especially my love of music. I play clarinet in the Trail Maple Leaf Band, as well as in the Stanley Humphries Senior Band, both groups whose members inspire me in the performing arts.
