Celtic Cargo Cult retunring to monthly gig

Cargo Cult are back to their regular monthly gig at Zocalo Café this Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

After a hectic Saint Patrick’s weekend, David Somers and Celtic Cargo Cult are back to their regular monthly gig at Zocalo Café this  Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

The band performs original music as well as traditional and contemporary Irish songs (with a few Scottish ones thrown in for good measure).

Celtic Cargo Cult consists of David Somers (guitar/vocals), David Hext (bass/vocals) and “Bootless” Bob Henderson (drums). The lads are familiar faces at various venues around the Comox Valley music, including a couple of appearances at MusicFest.

With the Cult’s music ranging from heartfelt ballads to high-energy, foot-stomping pub songs, Zocalo provides an ideal intimate setting in which to enjoy pub music in a family-friendly environment.
