Center of Gravity Festival stays grounded

Festival returns to Kelowna’s City Park Aug. 2 to 4, and features the best in electronic dance music and hip hop, as well as action sports.

KELOWNA — One of Canada’s hottest beach festivals is back and its happening right here in the Okanagan.

Now in its sixth year, the much anticipated Center of Gravity returns to Kelowna’s City Park Aug. 2 to 4, and features the best in electronic dance music and hip hop, as well as action sports.

Electro powerhouses Tiësto, Kaskade, and Dada Life, along with Canadian pop sensation Lights and L.A.-based rapper Hopsin are some of the artists playing this year’s festival stage sponsored by Monster Energy.

Also on the lineup is Hoodie Allen, Cazzette, Tommy Lee and DJ Aero, Sofi, Wolfgang Gartner, Le Castle Vania, DVBBS, Robbie Rivera, Project 46, Clockwork, Keys ‘n’ Krates, Lucky Date, Kytami, and others including Vernon’s own rapper spectacular Immaculate.

The sports lineup will feature more than  150 athletes competing in seven different sports including beach volleyball, basketball, freestyle mountain biking, wakeboarding, FMX, skateboarding, and BMX.
