Members of the Chorealis Vocal Ensemble are travelling along Highway 97 to present their fall tour, Pathways of Love.
The 11-member group shares its love of singing with the North Okanagan audience, Saturday at Vernon’s St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Members all reside in the Okanagan, from Salmon Arm through to Kelowna, and have been enthusiastically singing together since 2008.
“Chorealis performs a broad range of music, both sacred and secular. They especially love singing early music, from English madrigals to Latin motets, but are equally adept at more modern repertoire, be it classical composition or beloved Beatles’ tune,” said Chorealis member Gloria Brooks.
Chorealis is a unique vocal group, in that they do not have a conductor. Instead, all singers contribute to create their fine, harmonious and unaccompanied sound, added Brooks.
Saturday’s concert will see Chorealis present selections by Passerau, Holst, Stenhammar, Corelli, Lennon and McCartney, and Piazzolla.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available at the Bean Scene Coffee House and at the door. Admission is $15.
St. John’s Lutheran Church is located at 5151 Alain Rd. (off Silver Star Road, behind Stussi Sport), in Vernon.
