Celebrate the Season of Ice and Fire Dec. 16 when Tapestry Women’s Choir and Fireflies Children’s Choir take the stage at the Armstrong Bible Chapel for their annual Christmas concerts.
Inspired by a suggestion from a choir member, conductor Deborah Mehes has chosen music that highlights both the chill beauty and cozy warmth of the holiday season.
“There will be an eclectic blend of musical styles with Tapestry’s signature blend of genres that audiences appreciate and look forward to every year,” the choir said. “So whether you like country, big band swing, contemporary or traditional Christmas music, there will be selections to satisfy all musical tastes.”
The year’s concert will feature 65 voices, singing together and separately in four ensembles, the ladies of Tapestry, the women’s ensemble Seraphina, the young voices of the Fireflies and the newest group, the youth quartet Lumina.
“As well as beautiful music, anyone who has been to a Tapestry Christmas concert in years past knows that another highlight is the intermission reception, with hot beverages and homemade baking all prepared by members of the choirs,” the choir sad.
Concerts are at 1 and 4 p.m. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased in Armstrong at Your Dollar Store With More or The Brown Derby Restaurant, or can be reserved for pick up at the door by calling 250 546 8308.
