Terri Clark entertained the close to 700 fans who hooted, hollered and danced up a storm to Medicine Hat’s biggest export at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre Wednesday.
Her humour and humility were on full display throughout the evening as she sang and played guitar to some of her biggest hits, including Better Things to Do, Dirty Girl, Girls Lie Too, and Now That I Found You, among others. She also tipped her hat to the Grand Ole Opry, singing Tanya Tucker’s Delta Dawn, and other classic country songs off her latest album, Classic.
Opening for Clark was 19-year-old Ottawa native Kira Isabella, who demonstrated why she has just been nominated for a Juno award for best newcomer. The girl can sing!
Both women also spoke of their support of World Vision, and sponsoring a child in the Third World.
Clark closed her show with an apt way to describe the whole night – with a performance of Trooper’s Here for a Good Time. Let’s hope for more good times when she comes ’round this way again.
