Cloverdalians can look forward to a true winter wonderland opening on the fairgrounds next week.
The annual Winter Ice Palace will return to the Cloverdale Arena for the 21st year on Friday, Dec. 21.
Every year, the familiar community rink is dressed with lights and holiday decorations, and opened to families for a seasonal skate.
It will run from Dec. 21 to Jan. 6, including on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

- Dec. 22–23, 1–8 p.m.
- Dec. 24, 10 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Dec. 25, 12–3 p.m.
- Dec. 26, 2:45–6:30 p.m.
- Dec. 27–30, 12–8 p.m.
- Dec. 31, 10 a.m.–3:30pm
- Jan. 1–5, 12–8 p.m.
- Jan. 6, 10:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
Admission is $4.50 per person, skate rentals are an additional $3.25, and helmet rentals are $1.75. Community members with City of Surrey Recreation Passes receive free admission.
