Since beginning their entertainment career in the Fraser Valley almost 40 years ago, Bernie and Red have taken their comedy and music show worldwide, appearing on cruise ships and in almost every state and province in North America. However, local appearances are few and far between.
But on June 13, the comedy duo will be performing in Mission.
The duo have a large and loyal local fan base and a reputation for presenting an up-beat, entertaining show with lots of laughs. If you can imagine Johnny Carson and Bette Midler as a double act, with a bit of Benny Hill mixed in, you come close to describing the Bernie & Red show.
They have recorded more than a dozen CDs and have even published their own book, “Our Story,” which is an autobiography and songbook, featuring more than 20 of their original compositions and parodies.
This local performance will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, on Logan Ave in Mission on Saturday, June 13. Show time is at 7 p.m., preceded by dinner. For more information and tickets call 604-556-4138.
