In September she penned 20 new songs in the country music capital and she said some of them are real Christmas gems.
“I had a lot of success with my previously recorded Christmas song, ‘Merry Christmas To Me,’ so when I went to Nashville this trip, in September, I tried to write a few more and ended up with six songs that I love. I am hoping to raise money with this concert to record a Christmas album for next year.”
Anderson has never done a Christmas concert at home before and she said she is looking forward to sharing her new material as well as some holiday classics with her home town fans because this is her favourite time of year.
“I love Christmas … the lights and the music and the Village Theatre really is the perfect venue because it allows me to show off my vocal skills and song writing in an intimate atmosphere.”
Anderson said it will be just her and a piano player on stage.
“I wanted an intimate acoustic show where folks could be a part of the music. I love sharing stories behind how my original songs were created and connecting with the audience on a more personal level.”
She said there will be refreshments by donation and she will have merchandise including CDs, t-shirts, earrings and other small stocking stuffers for sale.
