The Mission Twilight Concerts will be celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day tonight (Friday) at 7 p.m. with a performance by Ostwelve ,as the series continues in Fraser River Heritage Park.
Ostwelve makes a second visit to Mission having appeared at the Mission Folk Festival in the past.
He is a Sto:lo/St’at’imc rapper and multi-media artist from Vancouver. Through an endless array of disciplines – rapper, radio host, community activist, actor, podcaster, graphic designer – Ostwelve has staked his claim as a force of positivity and strength, a powerful representative of Indigenous culture.
He will be onstage with his band and it will be a perfect end to a busy week in Mission.
On Wednesday, June 26, John McLachlan returns to the park, for an evening of the music of Canadian musical legend, Gordon Lightfoot.
This show is a wander through the wonderfully crafted songs of one of Canada’s greatest songwriters. It is a very fitting lead up to Canada Day celebrations.
The concert gets underway at 7 p.m.
The concerts are made possible through sponsorships from Prospera Credit Union and the District of Mission. The concerts continue rain or shine.
