Country music star Dean Brody is coming to the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre on Saturday, Feb. 22 as part of his Crops Circles and Tractor Beams tour.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, Sept. 27.

Opening for Brody will be Cassadee Pope, season 3 winner of the hit TV show The Voice, in support of her debut album Frame by Frame.

The announcement comes on the heels of seven nominations for Brody and a live broadcast performance at the 2013 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards on Sept. 8.

Brody’s fourth album, Crop Circles, is slated for release on Nov. 5, featuring his new single Bounty with guest vocalist Lindi Ortega.

Brody has won six CCMA awards, including back-to-back Album of the Year wins for Trail in Life and DIRT, and earned two Juno Award nominations.

He was named the Most Played Canadian Country Artist on radio in both 2011 and 2012, and has charted 11 Top 10 singles, including the gold-selling hit “Canadian Girls” and “It’s Friday” featuring Great Big Sea.

This year Brody participated in the Halo High Water Benefit Concert and Telethon to support the Calgary Foundation’s Flood Rebuilding Fund.

He was named one of Hello! Canada’s Most Beautiful Canadians in May and wrapped his first headlining tour to sold-out crowds and rave reviews last winter.

Doors for the concert open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 8.

Tickets are available at the AESC box office, online at abbotsfordcentre.ca, by phone at 1-866-977-2372 or at Abbotsford Recreation Centre, Matsqui Recreation Centre, and Whatcom Wine and Spirits.
