The scene in which Mrs. Muller meets with the principal of the Catholic school that her son, Donald, attends as the only non-white child is pivotal to the play. Viola Davis won an Oscar for her moving portrayal of Mrs. Muller in the 2008 film. The age range for the role is a female in her early 30s to early 50s.

Doubt, a Parable will be presented at the Sid Williams Theatre April 3-11, and is also an entry in the North Island Zone Theatre BC Festival in Campbell River at the Tidemark Theatre on May 18. There is a possibility that the drama could advance to the Theatre BC provincials, Mainstage, in early July in Port Alberni.

Rehearsals will be held throughout February and March at CLT’s rehearsal hall, 2683 Moray Avenue in Courtenay. All cast members and crew are required to become members of Courtenay Little Theatre and Theatre BC.
