It’s a day to plant seeds of friendship, nourish creativity and harvest new skills.
On Sunday, Aug. 7, the Fort Gallery is hosting the Art Farm, a series of artist workshops at the country home of gallery member, Susan J. Falk.
Running rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Art Farm includes a selection of hands-on workshops and demos from experienced artists and teachers, along with life drawing sessions.
Workshops include “Sketching for Travel” by Kristin Kimmel, “Chalk Pastel” by Don Portelance, “Block Printing” by Edith Krause and Jo-Ann Sheen, “Painting Plein Air: Oil or Acrylic” by Falk, “Expressive Drawing” by Amy J. Dyck, “Contouring Drawing” by Zuzana Vasko and “Monotype Printmaking” by Katina Giesbrecht.
Come and share skills and ideas, or spend the day painting in a beautiful landscape with ponds and horses.
Adult artists of all levels are welcome.
Deadline for registration is Sunday, July 31. Cost is $95.
