Crystal Hicks and Horizon perform in concert this Friday, Nov. 29 at House of James coffee house (2743 Emerson St.) in Abbotsford.
Horizon consists of lead guitarist Warren Grosland, groove man Johan Worst on electric and standup bass, Freddie Schmidt on tenor sax, and Rick Noel on drums.
Lead vocalist Hicks has been compared to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James.
Horizon performs a variety of musical styles, including rhythm and blues, soul, and classic rock.
Songs include Up Above My Head, Grandma’s Hands, Wayfaring Stranger, Stand By Me, I Can See Clearly, At Last, and I Heard It Through The Grapevine.
“I have heard Horizon many times and they are one of the most fun local bands we’ve had on our stage,” says Lando Klassen, owner of House of James.
