If it weren’t for Jars of Clay, there might not be a Dan Bremnes, the latest contemporary Christian musician to come out of the Okanagan.
With a 15-year career under their belts, the big-name band—consisting of Dan Haseltine on lead vocals, Charlie Lowell on piano, guitar player Stephen Mason and Matthew Odmark on rhythm guitars—lays claim to three Grammy Awards, five Gospel Music Association Dove Awards and five Broadcast Music Incorporated Awards.
Yet for Salmon Arm native Dan Bremnes, who recently moved to Kelowna, the biggest accolade he can speak of is how Jars of Clay inspired his own music career.
