After a spectacular sold out performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with the OSO, violinist David Greenberg returns to our stage for a repeat performance. Renowned for both his inspiring baroque interpretations and his Cape Breton fiddling, Greenberg has been praised as both a great folk fiddler and one of the best baroque violin soloists in Canada. This unique musical duality will be highlighted in the concert program. Originally from Maryland, Greenberg studied baroque violin at Indiana University’s Early Music Institute and moved to Canada in 1988 to join the Toronto-based baroque orchestra Tafelmusik. Greenberg has since performed with this internationally-acclaimed baroque ensemble in orchestral, chamber and solo roles in North America, Europe and the Far East and on more than forty recordings. The concert takes place on April 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Penticton Bethel Tabernacle. Tickets are available from the Penticton and Wine Country Information Centre.
