Del Barber will be performing at the Tractorgrease Cafe (48710 Chilliwack Lake Road) on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
His second album Love Songs for the Last Twenty was nominated for a Juno Award in 2011, and he won two Western Canadian Music Awards in the same year for Independent Album of the Year and Roots Solo Recording of the Year.
Barber grew up in the Canadian prairies, and his bio reveals that his fourth album Prairieography is born out of a love for his home, its people and their stories.
Barber tells incredibly personal and sincere observations about the world and the roads that he’s travelled. His music is blanketed in warmth and true-to-life imperfections.
Listen to one of Canada’s finest singer songwriters in the intimate setting on Saturday evening. Tickets are $25 and are available at the door or by phoning 604-858-3814.
