The King of the Breakup song is on his way to Penticton.
Tickets go on sale next Friday (Oct. 7) for Dierks Bentley, coming to the South Okanagan Events Centre on Feb. 7 with special guests Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi.
The country music star just notched his 15th career No. One hit with Different for Girls, featuring Elle King, on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase radio charts earlier this month. This is the second consecutive top hit off Bentley’s critically-acclaimed album Black.
“This is one of those ‘once-in-a-career’ songs, and I’m so glad we decided to take a risk and release it as a single,” said Bentley. “I wish I had documented the life of this song from when I heard the demo for the first time, to calling up Elle and flying to Austin to record with her, to seeing it grow and become a giant part of our live show.
“Being part of Elle’s first No. 1 country song is a really cool thing too.”
Bentley has earned nominations in four categories for this year’s Country Music Awards: Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of The Year, Vocal Event of the Year and Video of the Year.
Since his self-titled debut album in 2003, including his first No. 1 hit, What Was I Thinkin’, Bentley has racked up a solid history of top albums: Modern Day Drifter (2005); Long Trip Alone (2006); Feel That Fire (2009); Up on the Ridge (2010); Home (2012); Riser (2014) and his eighth and latest album, Black, released in May 2016.
