If you were looking for dinner and a show, Lac la Hache had exactly that this week. Lac la Hache Elementary School students performed everything from a concert to a play to go along with a spaghetti dinner.
The play was titled Reindeer Rebellion, according to principal Kristy Davis.
“We also had a few other little performances. We had a solo by Anna with Jingle Bells and a solo by Raina which was Hallelujah,” she says. “There was some kids who wanted to do an individual performance and I love to showcase them.”
Beyond the dinner and the performances, they also had a silent auction, a 50/50 draw and some gift baskets.
“I think it was received really well.”
They probably had about 75 people in attendance, says Davis.
The funds raised will go to the PAC and the lady who won the 50/50 donated it back to the pack, according to Davis.
All in all, they raised about $1,000, she says, which will usually go to support field trips.
The students all seemed to have a lot of fun, according to Davis.
“This week is actually kind of nice because we finished last week and they’re actually enjoying a more relaxing week. It’s a lot of work to prep,” she says. “They’re feeling a little bit of a destress this week.”
In all, the performances lasted about an hour.
Davis thanks all of the businesses and individuals that support the school.
“That was fantastic.”
