Dynamic duo: Cowichan dance schools team up for crowd-pleasing show

'Everybody Dance Now!'

“Everybody Dance Now!’

At the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre on Sunday, June 2, a packed house was definitely onside with that idea as Judy Hogg’s Celtic Rhythm Dancers and Ricki-Lee Allison’s Summit Dance kids were winding up their 2018/19 season with a huge show.

Because this event includes young performers in many different styles of dance, there was a whole lot to enjoy.

From the sweet presentations of the tiniest kids of Judy’s Tartan Tots coming onstage with their instructors for ‘The Teddy Bear’s Picnic’, the Mini Scottish Marchers, and Summit’s Mini Ballet girls in ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ to the smooth professionalism of the Senior Highland Group, the crowd loved it all.

And, for those of us who attend these shows ever year, it’s tremendously inspiring to see the students progress under the eye of a big group of instructors and helpers.
