The Empty Bowl’s fundraising luncheon for the Salvation Army food bank is coming up Monday, Feb. 14.
On Monday, Feb. 14, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. the public is invited to Beeotcheese Bistro to buy a bowl of soup with bread for $15 and take the hand made bowl home with them.
Bowls are being made by members of the Cariboo Potters Guild.
The potters, Cariboo Art Society, and Williams Lake Spinners and Weavers Guild are also donating items for a silent auction.

Family Fest
The annual Family Fest takes place at Marie Sharpe Elementary gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Sunday, Feb. 13.
This free event for the whole family includes games and crafts, puppets, face painting and balloons, bookwalks, book swap, snacks and more. Children can also have their picture taken with Sir Read-A-Lot free of charge.

Sleigh ride
Weather permitting the Cariboo Draft Horse Club will host its annual Valentine’s Day sleigh ride on Anderson Road, Sunday, Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Participation is by donation to help the club put on events for the community. A concession will be available. To confirm if the weather is suitable for the ride call Karen at 250-392-7537, or Bud at 250-296-4468.
