For more than 15 years local residents have been enjoying the big band sounds by Just Us Dance Orchestra, and the tradition continues this Friday.
On the last Friday of every month the 13-piece orchestra will entertain with their swinging tunes at the Bradley Centre in Coombs, drawing upwards of 100 people out to dance at past events, said Hildegard Buschhaus, president of the Mid-Island Pensioners & Hobbyists Association, the group that owns the building.
“I think people like the music,” she said. “They play music from the ‘50s and ‘60s and people like this music especially.”
