An inaugural event at the Coombs Community Hall May 23 is certain to get some girls giddy.
Hosted by the Coombs Hilliers Recreation and Community Organization (CHRCO), Girls Nite Out is an event for those 19 years of age and older that will include pampering stations, champagne, appetizers and exotic male dancers. CHRCO event coordinator and jack of all trades Sue O’Hare said they hope to make the ladies-only evening and annual event.
She said there will be spa-style treatments from 7 to 10 p.m. and after that a pair of male dancers will entertain for two hours.
Guests will be greeted with a glass of bubbly when they arrive and hot and cold appetizers will be served throughout the night as women visit booths with many things girly.
O’Hare who describes the fun evening as “posh meets smutty” said there will be a cash bar and girl power songs to keep the party moving.
There will also be a door prize for a make-over which includes a hair cut from a local salon and a treatment at Lesley’s Esthetics in Parksville.
Tickets are $25 and available at Cranky Dog Music in Parksville, Mulberry Bush Books in Qualicum Beach, the Coombs General Store, Cruisers Grill in Whiskey Creek and Alberni Colour in Port Alberni.
