The Fab Fourever Beatles Tribute band was truly fabulous as they performed last Saturday night for a crowd of close to 400 at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre.

Visually, they looked like the iconic pop band from England, and as far as sound went, there was no telling them apart.

Robert Fry, one of the key organizers with the host South Cariboo Community Concerts, says he would have liked to have seen more people in the audience, but he’s pleased with the outcome.

“It was a fantastic show and the crowd that was there had a blast. People got their money’s worth.”

The Fab Fourever strummed and hummed through music from each of their different eras, and at one point, welcomed Anna Lindhout on stage, as she was the winner of the “Beatles Most Fabulous Singer Contest”.

Lindhout had a sing-off with three other contestants to win the honour of performing a number with the band during the concert. Not quite enough for the lively gal, she stayed to dance on stage to the next song.

“She did a fantastic job and she’s a very good singer,” says Fry.

The newly chosen 2011 South Cariboo Idols also made their début, taking the stage one by one at half-time to delight the audience with a song.

After their second set, the Fab Fourever satisfied pleas from the crowd for an encore performance, ending the show with two extra songs.
