Family performs as trio in Enderby

Fundraiser for the Enderby and District Arts Council’s grand piano fund features Bruns-Morin Trio.

Pianist Sylvia Bruns, who grew up in Mara but now lives with her family in Quebec, joins cellist Gerald Morin, with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and their daughter, Celia Morin, on violin, for an evening of classical music at the Enderby Evangelical Chapel, Wednesday at 7 p.m.

A fundraiser for the Enderby and District Arts Council’s grand piano fund, the trio will perform 2 Nocturnes by Frederic Chopin, Massanet’s Meditation from Thais, Shostakovich’s Sonata for Cello and Piano in D minor, Cassado’s Requiebros, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Andante con moto tranquillo from Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor.

“The musicians have graciously donated their time and talents. Please come out and support this worthy cause and at the same time hear very accomplished professional musicians,” said Diana Inselberg, with the Enderby and District Arts Council.

Tickets to the concert are $20/adult, $10/youth under 18, available only at the door. The Enderby Evangelical Chapel is located at 708 Mill Ave. across from the credit union. Refreshments will be available.
