Acclaimed Hawaiian slack key guitarist Anela Kahiamoe plays Vista 18 on June 29.
The performance, called Pacific Strings, features Pacific-themed music, Polynesian dance and an art auction. The show is a fundraiser for the Pacific Peoples’ Partnerships, which supports indigenous people in West Papua, Indonesia.
Slack key guitar is a popular Hawaiian musical style played by finger-picking an acoustic guitar tuned to various open chords.
Tickets are $25 and include appetizers. They are available at Alcheringa Gallery, 665 Fort St. The show happens from 5 to 7:30 p.m., atop the Chateau Victoria Hotel, 740 Burdett Ave.
