Folk duo to rock Chemainus stage

Show part of outdoor concert series

Waterwheel Park in Chemainus will be filled with the sounds of folk pop on June 28.

Often compared to singers Joni Mitchell and Bon Scott, this duo is acclaimed for their ability to pump out the melody.

With Holly Arntzen on slide dulcimer and piano and Kevin Wright playing percussion and sax, they produce a wide range of sound.

Arntzen and Wright have co-written a collection of songs that give new dimensions to the leading edge of environmental music. They include Up Your Watershed!, March of the Spirit Bear and Creatures of Habitat.

The Music in the Park Series, presented by the Chemainus Valley Cultural Arts Society, takes place every Tuesday evening, 7 p.m., at Waterwheel Park Chemainus, rain or shine.  Admission is by donation and gourmet hot dogs and refreshments will be available for sale.
